I have long been interested in preventive, integrative care and spirituality, and have a passion for sharing these interests. I offer Reiki energy balancing treatments through individual appointments.
Becoming a Reiki Master in 1997 was an important step for me, personally, for my own healing as well as finding my purpose and mission. As a Reiki Master, I am able to share this wonderful Reiki energy with clients during individual Reiki sessions. I have been trained also in Karuna Reiki® Practitioner Levels I & II. The word Karuna means "compassionate action" and helps to deepen the Reiki energy.
Since then, I have also learned and incorporated into my practice various CranioSacral Therapy techniques, which works by releasing deep tension along the spine from the tail bone to the cranium (all the bones in the head). The Unwinding Meridians Class techniques assist with opening the acupuncture meridians (energy pathways) using finger pressure to help all the meridians work together. I have completed six Upledger CranioSacral Classes.
Each of these Bodywork Modalities can be a wonderful alternative or complementary therapy as I work with my clients from a holistic approach. I tend to integrate all of the bodywork modalities, and spiritual direction that I have learned, into my appointments based on my individual client's needs. My daughter, Emily Atwood, makes beautiful beaded and crystal Pendulums to assist in checking the body's chakras (energy centers) and as a tool for accessing your inner knowing. Please click on the tab above to find more information on how to use a pendulum, and how to purchase one.
